Weekly Willy Update (WWU) for September 5, 2008

Wow I can’t believe August is already over, it went by way faster then I would I have liked. But now it is September and only 20 more days till the 1 year release of Halo 3. This WWU will be light on the clan news and sort of heavy on the gaming news.



Here is a little retro/classic CE United logo back when we first started out in 2005, I have had this saved for a long time and I remember the first time S4iNT showed this to me. This was our first logo ever and I am still proud of it now matter how it looks, anyways enough of the sentimental crap on with the WWU.


Clan News, Info, and Events…

We are still playing Outcast Reborn on Sunday the 7th, time and players still to be determined.

I am calling it right now, it will be a friendly get together/meet and greet clan gaming night thing. I have been playing way to much Castle Crashers to be ready for a competitive clan match.

That is about it on the news things have been a little slow this past week (I blame Castle Crashers)

Gaming News…

Killer Instinct III might be getting made; Killer Instinct was a 2D fighting game that came out on the SNES and a sequel for the N64. Killer Instinct is also made by Rare the same people who made the Star Fox games and Goldeneye for the N64 WOO Killer Instinct III.

The guys who made Castle Crashers (The Behemoth) are working on a patch for the game to fix all the bugs that have been reported.

Resident Evil 5 might and will have some new controls no more stop and shoot, more pop and shoot, more like Gears of War type controls. It doesn’t seem that bad RE5 is still going to be fun as hell.

Bungie showed off a video of Halo 3's new map Assembly at PAX

It looks there is going to be some new achievements for Halo 3 roughly 30 new ones. LINK- http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/03/rumor ... th-mythic/

Maybe all these achievements will come out with the new map pack later this year. Maybe all of this has to do with Halo 3 Mythic who knows, well I know Bungie knows but we will all know soon enough I guess.

Willy’s Rant of the Week (WRotW)

Going two whole weeks without doing one of my rants of the week, I started to think if I would ever rant again. I now know that I cannot go with0ut ranting. This week I finally got a guaranteed (WRotW) for you all.

With the recent news of the Xbox 360 price drops, it got me thinking with the current price of the 20GB hard drive for the 360 priced at $99.99 http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360harddrive/
What is Microsoft going to do with all those unsold hard drives sell them at a low low price to unaware customers by ripping them off. When a week later they can probably buy a 60GB for the same price. Not to mention what about all of us who already have a 360, did they ever think we might want to buy this new shinny 60GB hard drive without buying a brand new 360, or spending $100 on the hard drive alone.

Why is it you can buy an external hard drive for a PC or laptop for way cheaper then the 360s hard drive, I know it is specially made for the 360 but come on M$ $100 for 20 GB that is just crazy and you know it.

Bottom line I think M$ charges way too much for some of the gaming accessories and they know it, but they still make a great gaming product in the end.
